Apprenticeships/TEEM

CivilianCyber offers two different programs to provide students with real world experience and in-depth competency-based, online, self-paced training.

Registered Apprentice Program

The first program, CivilianCyber’s Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) is designed to narrow the gap between companies looking to hire experienced talent and candidates who have good basic knowledge and potential to become a productive employee but are missing real-world experience. RAP provides an in-depth competency-based, online training program delivered while the candidate is also working within the host organization.

How it Works

CivilianCyber’s RAP structure features four key elements:

  1. We will provide a flexible learning journey for the candidate specific to the needs of your company through our Your Career Counselor (YCC) online learning platform. Whether you require curriculum to obtain a required certificate, tailored instruction, or other specific skills training YCC can deliver a structured, self-paced training program that is customizable to support your company’s needs
  2. Candidates will learn practical hands-on skills provided by your team which will allow your company to develop and prepare new talent for long term growth and success.
  3. Interaction with experienced professionals helps to develop the candidate’s professional and interpersonal soft skills which are often not addressed through academic learning alone.
  4. Mentoring and a learning coach to provide candidates encouragement and feedback throughout the apprenticeship.

If you are interested in launching a Registered Apprenticeship Program within your organization, please Contact Us for a no-obligation needs assessment.

Technology Enabled Engagement with Mentoring (TEEM™)

The second program, Technology Enabled Engagement with Mentoring (TEEM™) program combines high-quality education with critical thinking/soft skills and applied knowledge; delivering immersive work experiences supported by mentoring provided by an industry professional. This program can also be combined with our Workforce Innovation Network (WIN™), where the students can test their critical thinking skills by working to solve a real-world industry problem.

These programs can cover most any industry vertical and have been recognized by the US Department of Labor as well as The Virginia Department of Labor & Industry.

We are currently accepting applications for an upcoming TEEM cohort, scheduled to kick off in March. Learn more and apply here for immediate consideration.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor for the TEEM program, please contact Zach Becka, Program Coordinator at zacharyb@civiliancyber.com.
