Gain Real World Cybersecurity Experience While Earning Your Degree.
CivilianCyber — a leader in cyber workforce development — has partnered with Virginia’s Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) to establish Virginia as a global leader in cybersecurity research and serve as a catalyst for the Commonwealth’s long-term economic leadership in this sector. To do this, CCI and CivilianCyber have created a new program that provides cybersecurity training to VA-based college students, while they gain real world work experience working with small businesses across the Commonwealth.
Called STEP-UP, this pre-apprenticeship program has been created to prepare students to enter the in-demand cybersecurity career field upon graduation. Candidates will be assessed through the CivilianCyber Virtual Career Counselor Assessment platform, with selected Candidates being placed in an internship with a local company while receiving online training in a cybersecurity certificate program.
