In partnership with The Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI), and the Virginia Alliance for Secure Computing and Networking (VASCAN), CivilianCyber is proud to offer 20 college students throughout the state of Virginia a spot in our upcoming TEEM program. The eight-week program is scheduled to kick off on January 30th, 2023.
TEEM™ is an eight week program that uses our proprietary customizable learning platform Your Career Counselor (YCC) in tandem with our Workforce Innovation Network (WIN™) to deliver high-quality education as well as critical thinking/soft skills and applied knowledge. Combined, these two products rolled into one will deliver immersive work experience to the candidates all the while being supported and mentored by an accomplished industry professional.
This program has been endorsed by Doug Streit on behalf of VASCAN. It is designed to advance the Commonwealth’s goal of positioning Virginia as a cybersecurity center of excellence. Your participation as a Mentor is an important part of achieving that goal.
Understanding your busy schedule, we have developed this program to require a minimal time investment on your part. After the kick-off meeting each student/mentee will be tasked with reaching out to you to schedule a weekly one-hour review session.
– Doug Streit, VASCAN
Prior to each weekly review session the student/mentee will complete a specific online learning module focused on one aspect of cybersecurity. During the session the mentee will present their learnings and solicit feedback. You are not required to do anything else.
· Cybersecurity Awareness and Planning
· Data Governance
· Resilience, Back Up and Recovery
· Network and Data Access
· Student Driven Topic
· Program Conclusion
If you would like to participate in this program, the first step will be completing a quick Mentor-Student Matching survey which will assist us in pairing you with a student. You’ll find this on our online learning platform YourCareerCounselor.
